Whew.....

I'm horrible at updates according to Mom and Dad Baker :-] I'm happy to say only 12 days left till I'm married to my best friend in the whole world! I can hardly wait! It seemed sooo far away at first, and now it feels like it's coming so fast. Crazy how that works.

Well.... these last few weeks have been chaotic. Between Blaine's schooling, picking up a second job, house hunting, and getting everything ready for the weekend, I think everyone is stressed and running on fumes.... or maybe it's just Blaine and I.... and my Mom. Wedding planning is DEFINITELY NOT what I thought it would be. I hate to say it, but I am finding out who my true friends are and those that really do care. We've had some unfortunate mishaps between family and friends, but you know what, I'm glad they happend. I feel very blessed, fortunate, and at peace. I am so grateful to those who have made these last few weeks fun and calming for us.

I am very much looking forward to FINALLY going through the temple. I've always been sooo excited to go through. Now it's finally my turn! :-] I really really wish my family could go with me, but I know if they could, they would be there :-] I can't express enough to them how much I love them and how special they are to me. I know it hasn't been easy for my family these last few weeks, but they have been so strong and supportive. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! :-]

My biggest support has been Blaine :-] (Man, this could get long, but I'll save you the grief :-]) I am so grateful for EVERYTHING he does for me! I truly feel like the luckiest girl ever. He knows how to make me smile and laugh when things get sticky (besides his poop jokes). I hope that I can always treat him as good as he treats me. I can't wait to spend forever with my best friend! :-] I love you Blaine! :-]

BLAINE AND I ARE GOING TO SEE U2 OCTOBER 20!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THEY ARE MY FAVORITE BAND IN THE WHOLE WIDE WORLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'M SOOOO EXCITED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I DON'T KNOW WHY I'M PUTTING SO MANY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'M JUST WAY BEYOND STOKED :-]

I've always said once I see U2 in concert, that I can die happy. So after October 20, I can die happy. Morbid, I know. But come on! It's U2! I fell in love with U2 at the tender age of 7. I have every album minus 2 (War and No Line on the Horizon). I have several VHS tapes and the Rattle and Hum DVD (thanks Louise!) and can honestly say that I've watched all of them over and over again. I have never gotten sick of their music, nor will I ever. I hope you understand how extremely excited I am!!!!! I honestly can't put it into words. Thank you so much Blaine!!!!! I SERIOUSLY CAN'T WAIT!!!!! YOU ARE THE BEST!!!!! :-]

GUESS WHAT?!?!

I GOT ACCEPTED INTO NURSING SCHOOL!!!!! FINALLY!!!!! I can't even begin to express how excited I am! I start this fall at Chandler-Gilbert. It's a 2 year program. It's taken so long to get here, but well worth it. Yucky classes with tons of homework, a year and a half of waiting to get in, taking blah classes in between.... I'M SOOOO EXCITED!!!!! Blaine was the second person to find out. I was on the phone with my mom's boyfriend when I found out, so he got to hear me yelling and screaming first :-]

What a BIG sigh of relief..... NURSING SCHOOL HERE I COME!!!!!

Oh the fun we have...

I love spending time with Blaine! It's one of my favorite things in the whole world! Friday night, the boys played in one of our high school friend’s back yard. It was so fun watching them! It was like high school all over again…. It felt like everyone from Higley was there. It also reminded me of watching the boys play at MORP, which was our first date. Infact, he wore that same Boston shirt on our first date. Haha! (I still have that same big fat crush on Blaine that I did back then. I can’t help it!) The boys covered a few songs and had two originals. The Wedding Song, written in inspiration of our engagement, was my favorite. Erik started the song by announcing to the crowd our engagement. There was an inside joke or two in the song which made it that more fun :-] It was so awesome.

We left right after their set and went to the Ostrich Festival to see….. FOGHAT! Yeah! Hahaha! It was awesome! (For those of you that don’t know who Foghat is, they're a band from the 70's and they sing “Slow Ride”) Anyways, they sounded way good for being old farts.

These drunk biker guys came up to us and asked us to take a picture of them. It was hilarious! They were playing the air guitar and rocking out the entire time. Oh man. So we asked them to take a picture for us too. Today was another fun day :-] This is how we entertain ourselves....

Louise's Wedding!

Weeze and Lance are married! It went by so fast. I remember when they first started talking about getting married, and now look! They are so cute... but the cute that makes you wanna throw up. Haha. It was way nice. But thanks to Louise, I had a mild case of what she had 2 days before her wedding. Yuck. Oh well! It was still fun :-]

All this wedding stuff is getting me excited for ours. The planning is coming along. My mom and I are doing most of it ourselves. I love working with my mom, even though our ideas clash on some things :-] We still have a lot to do, but I'm enjoying it while it lasts.

Instifart.

We have the best institute (or as Blaine calls it, instifart) teacher ever. We are studying the Old Testament (right now we are in the very deep Isaiah) and learning very deep doctrine with the help of some Hebrew. We love it! I highly recommend taking any of Brother Richardson's classes. He's amazing and hilarious!

Our adventurous evening continued on the San Tan freeway when Blaine's truck almost ran out of gas on us. It took us FOREVER to find a dang gas station in Chandler. I freaked out because I can't handle intense situations... Blaine was laughing at me :-] We FINALLY found a gas station and nearly coasted in. 3 tiny chiuauas barked at us. It was one of the highlights of my night.

Blaine has no life and does homework all the time. (Haha, Cali). That's ok, I still like being with him... even when he has his face buried in text books. So... we bought skittles and strawberry soda at the gas station and had massive sugar highs. Here's the proof...
